Pages 20, 21:
Marlow is at the station for ten days leaving in a hut in the yard, but
if he wants to escape from the chaos that was there, he went to the accountant
office and he sat down at the floor to have a good time. One day he asked who
Mr. Kurtz was to the seek man that was there, and these man answered that it
was a first-class agent, and a remarkable person in the ivory country.
Pages 22, 23:
At the next day, Marlow left the station in a caravan of 60 men; they
passed for several abandoned village. At the fifteenth day of travelling he
gets in the river against and hobbled into the Central Station.
Pages 24, 25:
A man with long staves in their hands appeared from among the buildings,
looking at Marlow. Then a man told Marlow, that his steamer was at the bottom
of the river, and then it says to Marlow that he have to see the general manager,
that’s waiting him. They start two days before with the manager on board the
boat up the river. The first interview of Marlow with the manager was very
curious, the manager doesn’t ask to seat down Marlow after his 20 miles walk.
Pages 26, 27:
He began to speak as soon as he saw Marlow, he could not wait, and they
have to start without him, because the upriver station has to be relived. He doesn’t
know who were dead or alive.
They are in the construction, or reconstruction of one of the stations,
and the native’s workers are the most experimented making walls with the materials
that they gave to them.
